Product Description
This is the 1-Piece HEAVY STREET FLYWHEEL version of our Gear-Drive 8-Leg Quarter Master Lineup for the DSM / 4G63 AWD platform which uses a 1-piece STREET flywheel for the clutch assembly. The street clutch option weighs 22.5 Pounds with 1-piece flywheel and machined ring gear. We can get a 2-piece race version flywheel which is about 5 pounds lighter, but We strongly recommend the STREET FLYWHEEL OPTION, because it will help with launching the car for drag racing usage, and you won’t have to worry about balancing the flywheel and clutch before installation, or worry about the flywheel getting too hot and popping off the ring gear from extended racing usage.
Street flywheels are available in the following options: 6-Bolt AWD and 7-Bolt AWD – 1-piece flywheel
As well, we offer two different friction compounds for the clutch disk pack assemblies:
*RACE Friction: Bronze Ferrometallic Friction Material (Higher Torque/Higher Power Setups)
*STREET Friction: Cerametallic Friction Material (Lower Torque or Street Cars)
We also offer customized clutch cover diaphragm spring rate options to tailor the clutch to the customers power levels and usage. These can be adjusted to meet your power needs between 600-1300AWHP. Above that, we would recommend either a dual friction gear drive twin with super HD spring (4400#), or at triple disk 8-leg clutch. **The Street and Race Flywheels use 19.5mm long bolts on all applications.
